‘The Scrolls’
The scrolls are one of the most favorite collectables by most collecters. Here we have two used in different episodes and if I look further they might have been used in more episodes then that. The scroll on the left is from episode ‘Here she comes, Miss Amphipolis’ the one on the right is from the episode ‘King of Assassins’ . They both have designs on one side and print on the other. They appear to be made out of some type of recycled paper or even could be made out of papyrus, each one is hand painted and are trimmed with leather where they attach to the wood dowels, they have resin shells on each end of the dowels to finish out the wonderful appearance.

All paper scrolls without the wood dowels were also used throughout the Xena/Hercules series. This one below is made of a papyrus or a recycled type paper and screen printed in black and dark red ink. The screen cap I found with one is in episode ‘The Xena Scrolls’ with actress Renee’ O’Conner reading it before they go into the crypt/tomb. A quite interesting and neat prop measuring 11 1/4” by 9 1/2”.

‘Baby Eve Stunt Double”
This is the same style doll used for stunts in season 5 episode ‘Eternal Bonds’ as baby Eve. She is anatomically correct and is made of soft latex with hard plastic eyes, she is approximately the same size as a newborn or several weeks old infant. When I first got her in, 2 arrived in the bottom of a box lot of body parts (severed heads, arms and legs) from the show and had a glue or tape residue ring around her head to hold on a cap during stunt work, her face was painted a light or pale bone color, as I was cleaning the glue ring off of her head the paint started coming off too so I just continued to clean her up since she needed a good cleaning anyway. At this point I wish I would have left her the way she was, but so much for hind sight. She is still a wonderful Xwp/Herc prop piece.

‘Aphrodite’s Temple Dish’
This dish is all metal and appears silver in the picture but is actually gold plated with a light gold coating. When I purchased this nice little clam shaped hinged dish I was told it was used in Aphrodite’s Temple scenes but I haven’t found a screen cap yet to confirm it.

‘Hand Cuffs’’
These style hand cuffs were used throughout the Xena an Hercules series. They are made of heavy resin with hinges so they can open up. They have a wire loop at the connection so you add locks to the set. The chain is made of hard plastic and the inside of the cuffs are lined with soft leather so they won’t rub the actors/actresses wrists. A unusual and well made item that you don’t see around too often. The screen cap for your viewing is with Gabrielle wearing a set from the episode ‘Legacy’.

‘Film Case’
This is an actual film case or tin used by Pacific Renaissance to store Xena Warrior Princess film footage while shooting episode 12 on September 20, 2000. It made of metal and labeled but film and reel have long been gone to be processed. Judging by the film date this episode was probably filmed for season 6, episode ‘The God We Know’ since that episode ‘script wise’ was episode 12. I don’t have a positive id on the episode it was used for since the episodes were not necessarily used in the same sequence as they were shot or aired.

‘The Mummy Heads’
The wrapped mummy heads are a interesting prop used in Hercules the Legendary Journeys season 4 episode ‘Men in Pink’. They are mounted on a wood base with a resin type trim. I have 2 of these and have wondered what is really wrapped underneath as they are made very close to life size. The wrapping has a light resin coating mixed in with gauze to make it hard .Very neat pieces that show well in background scenes.

‘Horsehead Checker/Chess Piece’
This wonderful little horse head game piece was used in Young Hercules series, episode ‘Battlelines 2’, they were used as game pieces on a large checker board for the gods. It is made of closed cell foam with a light resin coating and then painted. It measures about 8” tall and 2 1/2” wide.

‘Hephestus’ Fireworks/Rockets’
These realistic little rockets were used in Young Hercules episode ‘Under Siege’. Hephestus made them as fireworks for Zeus but the Amazons took them and used them as weapons. They are made of closed cell foam covered in a light resin coating and then painted to look real. they are approximately 14” long and quite interesting set items.

‘Cactus Fruit’
This style cactus fruit was used in XWP episode ’Animal Attraction’ and was used for background scenes in this western like episode. It is about 8 1/2” long and a little bigger than a baseball. It is made of closed cell foam covered in resin and then painted to give it a realistic appearance.

This winged door knocker or opener is a neat looking piece. These were used as secret hidden door openers in the castle of Hercules the Legendary Journeys episode ‘The Lost City’. I have 2, they are both identical and are made of hard resin. The wing span measures approximately 9” wide and from the top of his hat to his tail it measures 7 1/2”. Quite detailed and interesting little props.

‘Animal Skins’
Animal skins were used all through the Xena and Hercules series as bed rolls, rugs, table decor, etc. The one on the left is a fully tanned calf skin rug like Xena and Gabbie used to sleep on and then roll up for Argo to carry, now whether or not this is one they actually laid on...who knows ....it measures about 5' by 4' and is very soft, it has little wax residue in the middle where it had a candle on it. The skins on the right are rabbit fur pelts very nicely tanned, very soft, all the same color. They were used alot on the tables to add a rustic look and thrown around in seating areas for added effect. I have 5, they all measure about 18” by 10” and all are almost identical in appearance.

‘Fruit Bowl and Stand’
Fruit bowls and fruit baskets were used on alot of the sets of Xena, Hercules, Young Hercules and Jack of all Trades, WETA workshop were masters of recycling items from one set to another. This set consists of a wicker or rattan stand with a silver plated distressed to look aged pedistal bowl, stuffed full of fruit. The apples, oranges, pears and banana are made of a light closed cell foam, lightly coated in resin and painted. The grapes are rubber and very much like what you would find in a home decor or craft store. The grouping is quite realistic and makes a good center piece for any table setting on the set .

‘Victoria Pratt Signed Antlers’
Antlers were used in many scenes and many episodes; these have a leather piece tied to them so I believe they could have been amazon, they appear to be real naturally shed antlers and not resin/foam like so many others used in the series. They were signed TWICE by the Amazon Queen herself, Cyane, played by the lovely and talented Victoria Pratt; she signed the pair at Creation Entertainment’s Cherry Hill Xena Convention in 2001.

‘Exquisite Gold Grecian Style Pitcher/Vase’
This pitcher or urn whichever it is or both comes apart in 2 pieces and also fits together as one, it is made of heavy metal, it could be brass but I'm not positive on that, it has very neat detailing with dancing figures, leaf designs and faces. It is very well made, put together it measures 16" tall. It looks like something you might see in one of the Gods/Goddess’ Temples and has been spotted in the Hercules episode ‘Love Amazon Style’
