Marty Burrow sifts through his massive collection of science fiction costumes and memorabilia. His living room is like a museum of the late 90's to early 2000 television.
“I guess welcome to Marty's world,” he laughs. Burrow has about a dozen costumes on display from popular 90's shows like Xena Warrior Princess and obscure titles. The crown jewels in the collection include a complete Amazonian Princess outfit from Xena.
“One thing led to another, instead of having one piece from each set it became multiple pieces from each set,” says Burrow. Marty says he only keeps about a third of his collection on display. The rest is boxed away. In the delicate world of online auctions, Marty says he has to watch out for frauds--most items have certificates of authenticity. He says the collection pays for itself since alot of the times he buys memorabilia in box lots
“Then I keep out of it what I want, I re-sell the rest on ebay or my web site, after I re-sell items it didn't cost much or anything for what I keep,” says Marty.
